These are the days of our lives...

June 14th 2008:
I decided that todays blog would be a recap of some things i noticed i have had to skim over and also a little bit about what happened today (as always) and maybe even chuck in some little bits of randomness just for the fun of it :D

Ok. Well firstly, i looked back to yesterdays post and realised that i got so carried away going on about the cast members in Disney that i completely missed a chance to talk about EPCOT, I didn't even bother to explain what it was!!! MY BAD!!
EPCOT stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow and basically it was a park built on Walt's predictions for the future. Inventions and innovations that would occur throughput the years ahead. And believe it or not, he was actually pretty damn close to predicting many aspect of life today that we take for granted!!His vision has since been continued and now EPCOT is still presenting new ideas and concepts for the world to see!!One of the best parts of this park for me was the Mission To Mars ride! You are in a simulator which emulates what it would be like to take off in a rocket and to fly around space, its the craziest feeling i have ever had in my life but it was amazing!!!You watch a screen and the shuttle you are in moves and shakes and the air pressure changes, i thought my ear drums were gonna pop at one point!! Its soo bizarre but at the same time it is sooo cool!! I absolutely loved it!!!

Another ride which i also loved was TEST TRACK!!! Of course i loved it...its cars!!!During the queue, you look ata sample repair and test shop, then you see the welcome center and they show you tests performed on cars and parts before they are released. This was major cool because it was all factually based so it was a ride but it was really interesting and informative as well :D You see all different tests for tires, car doors, an anechoic chamber for radio receivers, and an area for crash test dummies to be tested. When you finally stop queuing you then get told the that you will take part in some of these tests you see mini videos of each test which was mental cos your sitting there thinking, hang on a minute...i am gonna be in the car when they do this :S And one of them was a video of a car crashing into a barrier!!!!!!

When you get in the car the craziness really does begin, first you go up this hill and then they "test" teh cars suspension and you get thrown up and down like nobodies business going along different road surfaces, including bricks and cobblestones. Next, the car's anti-lock braking system is turned off and the car tries to negotiate a course of cones, knocking some over in the process and scaring the crap out of me cos i thought we were gonna crash even though its a bloody ride!!!!!! The anti-lock brakes are then turned back on and you get through the cone test no problem!!!.Next the cars are brought through environmental chambers: a hot chamber of 110°F (43°C), at which point i was like "oh its like Orlando heat in here" then a a cold chamber of 10°F (-13°C), which i said "Oh this is like England!!!".
The handling of the car is tested next. It climbs a set of hills with blind turns while increasing its speed each time. I was like oh my god can this thing get any faster!!! Well apparently it can because the next part is my favourite!!!At the top the car almost crashes into an oncoming truck before swerving out of the way. Then the car is on the final test shown in the briefing room: the barrier test. The car lines up across from a barrier and begins to accelerate towards it,at which point i was hanging on for dear life and wondering how the hell they could stop it in time without giving us all whiplash and scrunching up my face like a two year old having a poop!!! Then just before hitting the barrier it decides to take the worst picture ever!! I was killing myself laughing at it when i saw it, it was classic!!!Then the barrier disappears you realise it was actually a door and you go flying round the outside of the building at approx 70 mph!!! Its mental but sooo much fun, its one of the best rides ever!!!!!!!!!!
So thats the highlights of EPCOT!!!

Another thing i thought i would shove in is a bit about the flat and my flat mates cos i realised i have mentioned people's names alot but haven't explained who they are properly and i also haven't said all that much about the flat or moving in or anything!!!
FLATMATES:
Angelica:i would describe Angie as the mother of the group. She organizes alot of stuff and likes to look after everyone. She has a boyfriend who is coming up soon and i am intrigued to meet him cos i wanna know what he is like since we hear alot about him!!! Her family read this blog which she tells me provides them with the giggles cos of all the random messes i get myself into and they general randomness of me!! So big hello to you guys from Maid Marion (I'm told thats how i am known by you :D )
Gemma: i would say Gemma is very much on my level. We have great little chats and share a pretty chilled out attitude to things. We both are from Britain and love our proper chocolate not hersheys!!!! She is a really lovely girl who has a heart of gold!!!We both also share a deep shock that the Americans and Canadians do not know half of the best bands ever e.g KAISER CHIEFS!!!
Giulianna: Me and Giullie have giggle fits all the time!! This girl makes me laugh sooo much and laughs at me more than anyone else! She always seems to be around whenever i am hurting myself and doing daft dances or when i am coming out with some random comment that she find hilarious. She also witnessed my rant about boys which was legendary!!!

My other two flatmate's are both called JENIFER and are from Hong Kong. We don't really speak to them much mainly because we have given up trying to make and effort! They do some pretty stupid but amusing things though. For example...so far they have:
-put washing up liquid in the dishwasher and nearly bubbled out our kitchen
-called a cockroach a crocodile and scared the living daylights out of us
-hidden,not only their food but other peoples food in their closet
-marked lines on their juice to double check if anyone is drinking it but borrow everyones food whenever they feel like it!!!
So if we didn't find it so hilarious we probably wouldn't like them very much, but we don't seem to ever get mad we just seem to find it highly amusing!!!!
The flat is really nice and its big enough for us all, we usually chill out in the living room on our laptops and chat about nothing!! Daily gossip sessions all start in there and some nice meals have been had on our kitchen table!! I made curry!!!!!!!!!!!

I will think of other stuff i have missed out and shove it in other posts but for now i am gonna leave it there and talk about today...

Soooo today! Well it has been a lovely chill out day.I was off work again so i just relaxed by the pool, came back and watched a movie for a bit and then went back to the pool again and talked to our friends Hannah and Jade. Then i fell asleep reading my book.It was brilliant just to do nothing but i think tonight i will probably squeeze something in!!Not sure what yet though because its hard to work around everyones schedule cos we all finish and start at completely different and random times but hey,its all going good!!
I cannot believe how much i love this place! I think every day how lucky i am to be here and how much i love it, i don't think i ever wanna leave!! I really do love everything!! I must mention on this blog at least a million times!!!!!! But anywho i am gonna go now because ,y fingers are hurting from typing so much!!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST THOUGH!!! HUGE BIRTHDAY SHOUT OUT TO MY BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD ENTIRE WORLD!! RAJ, HAPPY BIRTHDAY I HOPE ITS AS SPECIAL AS YOU ARE !!!!!!!!
